Replacement Compressor Wheel Complete Install Kit
for 1994.5-2003 TP38 and GTP38 Turbos both E and F series
This is the same wheel that came with the early 94.5 -early 99 7.3L diesels. It is sold as an aftermarket compressor wheel by many other names and will fit all F-series stock turbos from 1994.5 to 2003 equipped with the 7.3L engine. This wheel will reduce and/or eliminate turbo surge on the GTP38 turbos caused from aftermarket performance chips and modifications, greatly increasing the life of the stock turbo. It will also improve the turbo spool-up tme but it is not considered a performance upgrade.
Torque Spec (Wheel to shaft): 45-60 LB-IN (inch pounds)
The Garrett TP-38 compressor wheel will give your stock GTP38 turbo the unmistakable big rig turbo whistle. Modifications such as removing the foil from the CAC tube and installing an open element filter such as the AFE or 6637 mod will also enhance this whistle.
This is the Genuine Borg-Warner GTP38 Compressor Wheel #170293 not the CHEAP, poorly balanced Chinese knockoff with a very low price you can find on other websites. If it does not say Borg-Warner, it is not the Original OEM wheel.
